2011 PHCRED Tri-State Conference -
Adelaide, 15-16 September 2011
The 2011 Conference was a celebration of over 10 years work in building capacity and excellence in Primary Health Care Research. Representatives from APHCRI, PHC RIS and the Department of Health and Ageing were invited. The Conference was an opportunity to meet with the Primary Health Care research community from five University Departments (University of Adelaide, Flinders University, Spencer Gulf Rural Health School- University of South Australia, Centre for Remote Health, and the Greater Green Triangle University Department of Rural Health -Deakin and Flinders Universities) for whom primary health care research is core business.
Key Speaker
David Butt has been Chief Executive Officer of the Australian General Practice Network since October, 2008. Prior to this David spent eight years as National Chief Executive Officer of Little Company of Mary Health Care, the national organisation which operates the Calvary public and private hospitals, aged, community and home care services in six States and Territories. From 1996 to 2000, David was Chief Executive of the ACT Department of Health and Community Care, and Chaired the Australian Health Ministers' Advisory Council (AHMAC) from 1998-2000. He has held various other executive positions in the Australian health system, including senior roles in Queensland Health, as well as positions with the Federal Government.
